Sweetest Hangover by Jewel Diamond Taylor

I'm from the "old school music" generation and I can remember Diana Ross singing, "I got the sweetest hangover and I don't wanna get over my sweet hangover." That love hangover makes your head and your heart hurt. You're confused. Everything is blurry. Day after day you drink from the cup of misery asking, "Why won't he call me...where is he (she)...I miss him (her)...I wonder what he's doing?...I can't think. I can't eat. I can't sleep. I wonder if I ever cross his (her) mind?

Ain't it great to grow and mature to realize you can't make somebody love you? Ain't it great to grow and realize you've got to find yourself before you find someone to share your life with? Ain't it great to stop drinking from the cup of misery? You know what I'm talking about...that needy love -one sided love - one less egg to fry - can't breathe again - that boy is mine - surely you want me back - I wish it would rain - I'm gonna knock on your door and tap on your window pane kinda of love.

Just say "no" to drinking from the cup misery before it gives you a hangover. Start sipping from the cup of wholeness, self-esteem, self-worth and self-respect. Give your heart time to get sober and healed. ~ by Jewel Diamond Taylor, the Self-esteem Dr.
