STRESSless

*   Watch less news on TV

*   Have a sense of humor.

*   Enjoy nature (lake, river, ocean, park, mountains, spa, etc.)

*  When you're stressed, you will have a tendency to hold your breath or breathe in short, shallow gasps through your mouth.  This will increase your anxiety.
You breathe typically 20,000 times each day.  Correct breathing can positively influence your health and happiness on many levels.

Your breath should come from your belly, not your chest.  Breathe in through your nose, not your mouth. Expand your belly like a balloon on the inhale and gently contract your stomach muscles on the exhale.

Good breathing brings oxygen to every cell of your body, from your brain to your vital organs. Without sufficient oxygen, your body becomes more susceptible to health problems.

If you start feeling stressed, stop and take a deep breath (through your nose). Slowly inhale, then slowly exhale.  Remain still and repeat this cycle three times.  You can't feel both stressed and blessed at the same time: taking deep, slow breaths will help calm and center you.  It will help you think more clearly.

*   Take vitamins and herbal supplements to nurture your adrenal system

(i.e. B complex, pantothenic acid and calcium helps to settle your nervous

system and create inner calm.  Take calcium and magnesium together

       for better absorption.)

*   Delegate and let go.  Focus on priorities.

*   Pray, meditate, seek spiritual guidance

*   Call or visit a good friend (isolation breeds depression).

*   If something is important to you, speak up.  Don't assume that your

priorities and needs are equally important to others.  Communicate clearly

     and consistently to get results.

*  Spend time with your loved ones (the ones who don't have drama) :)

*  Spend time with your pets and/or nature.

*  Listen to soothing or upbeat music.

*  Have a “things to do” list and use it daily.

Control and monitor your blood pressure.

*  Get proper rest.  Never skip breakfast.  Reduce coffee, sugar and alcohol.

Don’t shop or eat uncontrollably.

*  Don’t rush into a relationship mistaking lust for love.

*  Delegate household duties to other family members.

*   Plan ahead to avoid possible stress i.e. traffic, lost items, weather,

     unexpected expenses, etc.

If you don’t understand an assignment, ask questions.

*  Throw away old things, clean up, organize, create space,

cleanliness, order and beauty around you – it reduces

the mess and the stress.  De-clutter your life.   Read Jewel's e-book on clutter

*  Communicate and negotiate with your bill collectors.

Keep your gas tank at least half full.  Check your car oil,  fluids, tires and brakes

    regularly.

*  When you travel, arrive at the airport early.

*  Watch the sunrise or the sunset as often as you can.

*  Go for a walk and change your scenery.  Stretch and exercise regularly.

*  Practice honesty and fairness with everyone at all times.

* Make punctuality a habit.

* No alcohol, drugs, cigarettes…they kill and destroy.

*  Have a sense of humor.  Don’t sweat the small stuff.

* Reduce credit card spending, perform “plastic surgery”, cut them up.

   Practice wise spending habits.

* Don’t make promises you can’t or don’t want to keep.

* Tell all negative, gossipy, criticizing, judgmental, dream-

stomping people and abusive people in your life to “kiss your positive

attitude” (read that chapter in my earlier motivational

   book “Success Gems” page 53).

* Stay current with your paperwork.

* If your job, commuting, toxic/abusive relationships or spending habits

are causing you stress...make a change ASAP!

* Balance time for God, family, career and leisure.

* Pamper yourself with long baths, candles, therapeutic massages, aromas,

good music, a good book, quiet time.

* Read your Bible.  Read inspirational material often to remain prayed up and

    spiritually centered.

* You can't fix everything.  You cannot change or rescue everyone.  Let go and

remember, until further notice...God is in control.

* Keep your hand in God’s unchanging hand.  Walk and talk with God.

Listen to God.  Thank and praise God.
