Feeling hurt ?

Having someone crush your heart or stab you in the back hurts deeply.   Allow your heart time to heal.  It won't be overnight.  Work on maintaining your self-worth, self-respect and inner joy.  If you allow the offender to steal your joy, time and self-esteem --- you're allowing them to hurt you again.  Feeling hurt will either make you very sad or very mad.  Take back your personal power so you can pick up the pieces of your life again.  Focus on your restoration and seek what lessons you can learn from this episode.  Attacking back or beating yourself up because you were caught by surprise is non-productive.  I often say, "Maybe rejection is my God's protection."  By changing my perception this way, it empowers me to cancel my pity-party.  I begin to realize that some people are in our lives for a reason and some just for a season.   Things will get better.

Shift happens in personal and professional relationships.  It helps to understand that being hurt and disappointed by people is unfortunately inevitable and part of life.  Loving, trusting and working with others brings risk and reward.   Pray for inner strength, self-esteem and restoration to overcome any tears, bitterness, damaged trust and anger.  Life is too short to harbor ill feelings too long.  When necessary and appropriate, at the right time and right place, express your concerns and feelings.  The relationship may never be the same, but at least your self-respect will be in tact.   Try to move on and get over it a stronger and wiser person.   Know that it will get better.  Things will be brighter.
