Procrastination
is a thief !
If you have unfinished tasks haunting you... that is a distraction. If
you know you are dragging your feet on projects and paperwork...that is
a distraction. If you avoid making decisions and dealing with unpleasant
tasks... that is a major distraction. Do you avoid the difficult tasks
and only want to do what is fun or easy? That small issue you're
ignoring today could be a bigger problem tomorrow.
Once you break the habit of procrastination you can release more energy and
focus to work on your dreams and goals. Delaying doctor appointments,
bills, paperwork, school work, taxes, exercising, finishing your creative
projects, planning a vacation, starting your business, etc. slowing
deteriorates your peace of mind. This thief robs you of health, money
and your predestined spiritual inheritance of abundant living. If you don't
break the habit, you will have nagging distractions stealing your
concentration, joy, effectiveness and blessings. Time lost is
time lost forever. Arrest the thief today!!!!
The procrastination habit
of avoidance and delay is a destroyer of your discipline and success.
This thief steals your time, money, peace, blessings,
health and opportunities. Nothing is more exhausting than procrastinating
on an uncompleted task. This avoidance habit leads to fatigue, failure
and frustration. The price for procra$tination is high. The voice of
delay whispers..."Do it tomorrow." The habit of procrastination
is a heavy weight on your mind and spirit. Do you hear yourself saying...
- "The task is really awful.
It's no fun."
- " I'll do a terrible job."
- "
Its not fair." (i.e. school exams, taxes, DMV, traffic tickets )
- " I must be perfect
first. It's all or nothing at all.
- " Its ok if I quit,
it doesn't matter."
- " Maybe it will just
go away if I ignore it."
- " I'm too busy helping
everybody else. I don't have time."
- " Someone else will
take care of it."
The sooner you deal with this success blocker, the better you will feel.
If you're waiting for a big burst of energy to get started, it may never
happen. Think about the rewards if you get started or think about the
consequences you'll have if you don't get started. Looking at the big
picture of what needs to be done can be overwhelming. Time
lost...is time lost. So get the ball
rolling by breaking your tasks into small steps. Once you start the momentum
of action you'll begin to feel some sense of relief and accomplishment.

“If you need acceptance, praise, affirmation
and a pat on the back from everyone around
you --- then you are giving your power away.
This mindset fragments your soul and spirit.
With every action and decision comes risk or
reward.
Allowing others to define your worth and
waiting for their stamp of approval drains
your energy and self- esteem.
You cannot get through your life without
disappointing others or experiencing
regrets.
Get out of your holding pattern of
procrastination and fear. Take your
happiness out of the “lay- away.” Find your
strength, integrity and courage. Find your
voice. Trust your decisions. Learn from your
choices. Use your imagination. Trust your
instincts. Pray for guidance and
discernment. Explore your ideas. Walk by
faith. Action speaks louder than fear. You
are enough!” ~ Jewel Diamond Taylor
